Trek and Run Superfood Energy Balls

These Superfood energy packed balls are great for fueling and recovering from a rough workout or a strenuous run. They are full of fiber, protein, and provide natural energy. Read more for recipe

  • 1/2 cup raw cacao nibs
  • 1/2 cup raw cashews
  • 12 medium dates
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper/cayenne
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup coconut flakes
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup. Start with 1 and see how the mix comes together since dates vary in juiciness
  • 1/2 cup goji berries
  • 1/4 cup of melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of Salba chia seed (if you don’t have Salba chia at your local #WholeFoods request it because it’s the most nutrient dense chia on the shelves and a must for this recipe to have the benefits it offers)
  • 1/4 cup Salba chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup hemp hearts
  • 1 tbs orange zest (this was my favorite part of the flavor with the red pepper … do not skip it!)
